I had the opportunity, on May 13, 2002 to have Bookie Bell be a part of a presentation put on for the benefit of educators from Lindsay area schools. The meeting took place at Victoria County Career Services and Bookie was one of a handful of Community Service agencies chosen to speak on the topic of services available to young people after High School. What was Bookie Bell's tie in you may ask? Bookie was asked to address the issue of how to motivate our students. During her presentation she shared part of her journey on how she came to be a clown. This, in and of itself, is an inspirational story. There Is seldom a clear path with a clear outcome when It comes to career direction and Bookie is a prime example of this. She addressed the topic of doing the work you love with great passion. This is an important message for students to hear.

During her short presentation she was able to set the mood with upbeat music, the sweet smell of vanilla and the fanciful colour and makeup of the persona she loves.

It was a pleasure to have her participate in this event. I certainly appreciate her taking the time to provide everyone in the room with a very real look at what can happen when someone is directed Into the right career choice (by whatever means that direction may come). I also feel that the educators In the room had their eyes opened not only to alternatives to steering youth in directions of college or university, but to using Bookie, as a speaker, to Inspire students, to take some risks and follow your heart.

Bookie Bell has many inspirational messages to provide to her audience and a charming and sensitive manner In which the message Is conveyed. I would recommend her for other events and would certainly ask her to speak at meetings that I might hold in the future.

Thank you for your special visit to my retirement party. I have never received a bouquet of balloons before theyre very cheery. When everybody sang You are my Sunshine I had the most incredibly warm and fuzzy feeling. You are truly blessed to be able to bring such joy to so many people.

Thank you so much for entertaining the children and adults who attended out 25th Anniversary Celebration. It was just like a family reunion and everyone had a wonderful time visiting, touring and enjoying Checkers entertainment.
